Why Hearth

You already know family worship matters. Starting is the hard part.

“What do we even read tonight?”

Hearth decides. Open the app and tonight's passage, song and questions are already chosen, in order, through a whole book of the Bible.

“What if they ask something I can't answer?”

The prep card gives you tonight's truth and the questions children usually ask, with plain answers, before you begin.

“We missed a week. Now what?”

Nothing is marked missed and there are no streaks to lose. Hearth moves forward only when you finish a night, so you pick up right where you left off.

Inside each night

Five simple parts, always in the same order.

Do all five, or choose the ones that fit tonight. Children learn the rhythm quickly, and before long they're the ones calling everyone to the table.

  1. 1

    Sing

One hymn for the whole week, with the words on screen, so even the youngest learn it by Friday.

  2. 2

    Read

Hearth gives the reference. Your family opens your own Bible and reads it aloud together.

  3. 3

    Talk

Two questions: first what's true in the passage, then how to live it this week.

  4. 4

    Catechize

One catechism question at a time, building on the ones your children already know.

  5. 5

    Pray

A short prompt drawn from tonight's passage. A sentence from each person is plenty.

You can stop after any step. It still counts. Three nights a week is a win.

Made for the parent leading

Everything you need to lead, and nothing to manage.

Ready in thirty seconds

You don't need to know everything.

Every night comes with a prep card: tonight's truth in one line, one thing to know about the passage, the question children usually ask (with a plain answer), and an idea for the little ones. Read it while the kids find their Bibles.

A night that fits your evening

Five minutes or twenty.

Tap Begin and choose what you'll do tonight. Sing, read and pray. Or read, do an object lesson and pray. Pick about 5, 10 or 20 minutes, or any mix you like, and talk longer when there's time. Every choice is a full night, and Hearth remembers what your family usually does.

Hearth screen: What will you do tonight? Quick picks for 5, 10 or 15 minutes and a checklist of the night's parts.

Everyone at the table takes part

From toddlers to teenagers.

Hearth gives each person a job by age and takes turns from night to night: start the song, read, ask the questions, pray. Every question has a simpler version for little ones, and older children are stretched by the real one. Tap a name to swap jobs before you begin.

Hearth screen: everyone gets a job. Silas starts the song, Eli reads, Naomi asks the questions, Silas prays.

Questions with real answers

Truth has right answers.

The first question leads your family to the one truth the passage teaches. If the conversation stalls, tap “Show the answer, just for you.” Let everyone answer, then bring it back to tonight's truth. The second question turns that truth toward this week at home, school and work.

Studies you finish together

A book of the Bible, one night at a time.

Studies walk through a book or theme in a set number of nights, like Jonah or Creation and the Fall. When you finish, Hearth makes a certificate with your family's name to keep. New studies arrive on their own, and you choose what comes next.

Faithful to Scripture

Built on God's Word, and careful with it.

Your Bible stays open

Hearth shows the reference, never a retelling. Your family reads from your own Bible, in any translation.

Historic words, unchanged

Hymns and the catechism appear exactly as written, with their authors named. Nothing is rewritten or updated.

Reviewed before it reaches you

Every night is read line by line by a named reviewer. Doctrine is measured against the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Private by design

Your family stays on your phone.

Hearth has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your family's names and progress never leave your iPhone, and children never sign in. Hearth works fully offline, at the kitchen table or in a cabin.

Questions

Common questions

More on the support page, or write to jd@visionaryfam.com.

Who is Hearth for?

Any family that wants to worship God together at home: parents with toddlers, teenagers, or both, and grandparents leading when the grandchildren visit. Each night includes everyone, with a job and a question at each person's level.

How long does a night take?

As long as fits your evening. When you tap Begin, you choose what you'll do tonight: about 5, 10 or 20 minutes, or any mix of singing, reading, talking, catechism and prayer. You can stop after any step, and it still counts.

Which Bible do we need?

Your own, in any translation. Hearth gives the reference and your family reads it aloud.

What do you believe?

Hearth is Protestant and evangelical. Questions and answers are checked against the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and the catechism and every hymn come from that tradition.

What does it cost?

Hearth is free to download, with no ads and nothing to buy.

Is it on Android?

Not yet. Hearth is for iPhone first.
